So, Allison is graduating from ASU this May. It's a big event in our family; she's the first grandchild to graduate from college, and needless to say, we're all really proud. She's graduating from the College of Business with a Business Marketing major, and a Leadership Studies minor. AND she's graduating on time on the four-year plan! Woot!
The least I can do is have a dinner for her after the event. The invitations arrived, and are very pretty. It's a little sad; as long as she was a student, and "on the payroll" per se, I could still rationalize that she's mine, and still a kid. I don't think I will be able to do that much longer. The empty nest takes on a new level as she goes off to grad school in the summer. What a good girl.......
